AHEC Scholars Program Benefits

• $2,000 stipend, dispersed over the course of the program
  The stipend is intended to cover any costs associated with program participation or living expenses.

• Certificate of Scholarship in Community Health from South Louisiana Regional AHEC
  A certificate will be provided to graduating Scholars commemorate participation in the program.

• Letter of Recommendation
  Letters of recommendation will be provided to program completers to include in job or school applications at will.

• The potential for a lifetime of coaching and peer support from likeminded peers - both at home and nationwide!

  AHEC Scholars is part of a national network of AHEC Scholars programs that aim to equip an inter-professional workforce to practice community-based primary care in rural and underserved areas. The National AHEC Organization works hard to find opportunities to leverage the national network on behalf of Scholars.
